Three Things Thursday

1. Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh was absolutely wonderful! It was my first time in the city and it absolutely exceeded my expectations! To be honest, I expected a very industrial looking city that was kind of worn down, instead, I found a beautiful city bustling with people (and runners!) with a gorgeous river front! My mom and I went to the Pirates game on Tuesday night and had more fun than I think I've ever had at a ball game! Wednesday morning, we went to the Andy Warhol Museum which was phenomenal and then made the long journey back home. It was a great trip and I loved the city! So now I'm thinking...Pittsburgh Marathon in May???

2. Moving - I'm moving into my new apartment tomorrow! I'm really excited and can't wait to see it and spend the week decorating! While I originally thought I would have a one room studio with no oven, I've now found out that I'll have a two room apartment with a full kitchen (including an oven!). I'm also glad that I'm moving in a week earlier than I planned because I can slowly transition from being a bum for the last month to starting my job, internship and classes over the next 3 weeks...and managing to fit all of my runs in.

3. Top 5 Favorite Oldies - I don't have a #3 so I'm linking up with Meghan at The Perfect Compilation Tape and listing my Top 5 Favorite Oldies.
  1.  "American Pie" - Don McLean
  2. "Daydream Believer" - The Monkees
  3. "Knock Three Times" - Tony Orlando
  4. "Turn Turn Turn" - The Byrds
  5. "House of the Rising Sun" - The Doors (not The Animals version)
Two of these songs are from a very popular 1990s movie. Bonus points if you guess which one! What are some of your favorite Oldies?

Happy Thursday!

PS--Love reading your blog. I recently found it and am hooked on your travel stories!

  3. So glad that you had fun in Pittsburgh and are moving into your new apartment tomorrow! Will you still be in NYC?

Also, is the 90's movie Now and Then?!?! I loooove that movie! :)

  4. You are moving tomorrow! Ahh! Best of luck, Christy! I hope everything goes smoothly.

I also love your take on Pittsburgh. I, too, thought it would be a fairly industrial city!

    Thanks for linking up!!!

  5. I'm so jealous you went to Pittsburgh's stadium...I've been trying to go for weeks and everyone keeps backing out on me :( Glad you had a great time tho!!!
