Rule for April: No Traveling!

Hello my lovelies!

I'll keep this one short and sweet! I had a great weekend at home but an exhausting trip back! It's made me realize that I need to take less frequent trips out of Boston! In the last two months, I've been away 5 weekends! Thank goodness April is just around the corner and I don't have anything planned until the end of the month which means I'll have ample time for running, scrapbooking, cooking AND keeping my apartment clean! (Not so easy when you're constantly packing/unpacking!

So, I had a great weekend! Saturday, I ran my 2 mile run in 16:28 which is HUGE for me! My best time before that had been 18:40! I'm very excited about that! I skipped my 4 miler on Sunday because I was swamped with church/family/heading back to Boston but actually ending up in New Jersey again...yea that's right, so I didn't get it in today either because I actually did head back to Boston but it took 8 1/2 hours!

So with that being said, I need to get a 4 mile run in tomorrow, so here's this week's training schedule!

Week 4
Monday: Off
Tuesday: 4 mile run
Wednesday: 20-30 minutes of low impact cardio
Thursday: 3 mile run
Friday:  20-30 minutes of low impact cardio
Saturday: 2.5 mile run
Sunday: 5 mile run

I feel kind of guilty about missing my Sunday long runs 2 weeks in a row (=/) But it's tough when I'm traveling! I've still been really good about keeping up with my schedule!

Well, I'm off to catch up on what's been going on with all of you over the weekend and then to bed!

  1. I know exactly how you feel, I have been packing and unpacking way too often... 3 weekends in a row, and I'll probably be heading to my gramma's for Easter this weekend. but that's ok, at least she's not too far away. It is SO hard to stay on track when you're traveling!!! Good luck with this week's workout! I'll be getting a 30-40 minute run in tomorrow, then lifting... better get to bed!

p.s. 2 miles in under 17 mins is FANTASTIC!! (anyone who's a distance runner would probably disagree with that statement, but I think anything under 9 min miles is good!)

  2. Traveling is quite disorienting sometimes, especially regarding house cleaning. Congrats on the run time, that is a great time. I'm excited for summer, outside runs can begin!
