Welcome back.

I have always loved the New Year. I always make a lot of resolutions or goals and I usually stick with them. I love that the New Year is always a promise for new opportunities - new places to go, people to meet, things to discover...all of that. The start of the year is a reminder of how much newness there is in the world to constantly discover.

Next month will mark 10 years since I started this blog. While it's been almost 4 years since I've written with any kind of consistency, I've spent the last 4 years telling myself that I really miss blogging.

This year, I set what I hoped would be an easy blogging goal - one post per week. I knew I wouldn't start that in January. On top of training for a half-marathon later this month and a 30-day yoga challenge, I didn't want to be too ambitious. Now that it's February though, I'm here. I'm back, and I really hope to stick around.

I've got a few things planned for this space this year. I'll be sharing some highlights from our most recent travels to London and Copenhagen, and how the way we travel looks now that we have a baby. I'll post some tips for getting back into running after a long break (baby-induced or otherwise!). I'll write about my tips and tricks for traveling with a baby (especially since some of the most common advice I've read out there really hasn't worked too well for us). I'll share tons of photos of our new house and go into a little bit more detail about why we moved so soon after buying our house in Baltimore. I'll definitely write about our 2020 travel adventures as they happen. I also want to share some neighborhood guides to DC aimed at tourists looking to venture off the well-beaten path of the National Mall. I hope you'll read along.
