Another Oops and Today's Loves

1. Oops...I went to Texas. Less than 48 hours after returning from Paris, The Pilot were on a plane bound for DFW. I had said a few weeks ago that I was itching to get to Texas to visit my family and I'm so glad I did. Love.
2. We had an awesome time. My family is a freaking riot and I love them. It seems like everyone has something good going for them right now...new schools, new jobs, upcoming weddings...and it's nice to see everyone happy. Love.
3. I cut my 18 mile run to 4 miles yesterday after hip pain that had been lingering all weekend got the best off me. Don't Love.
4. I spent all day yesterday stretching, foam rolling and icing my hip and it must have worked because I had a fantastic run this morning. Love.
5. The week of from NYC Training did me really well. New Yok has been such a heaad ache between the incessant emails, constant changes being made and overall funsuck that NYRR has been that it was nice to just take a break from that. I'm glad I'm back to training though and I'm excited for the next 8 weeks. Love.
6. I'm racing this weekend! I'm heading down to Philly on Saturday for the Rock & Roll Half with Andrea and I'm pumped to be running in my favorite city to race. Love.

7. I don't have any goals for this race other than to race, have fun and run naked (sans technology). More on that later. Love.

It was great to take 2 weeks off from everthing...London, Paris and Texas were amazing but it's back to reality and I'm currently writing this post on my way to DC for a conference. Despite being "back to the grind," I can't complain because it's a beautiful day, I had a great run this morning and I'm off to my favorite US city for a great week of work and play.

That's all for now! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
