Love/Don't Love

1. On Saturday, I set a 5k PR at a local hometown race. It was a hot day and I PR'd by 6 seconds but since I've been in a PR slump all year, I'll take it. Love.
2. This weekend was much more low key than I would have liked it to be. Don't Love.
3. While I haven't started my NYC training cycle just yet, I'm starting to increase my mileage so that instead of jumping into Week 1 after 2 months off (like I've done in the past), I'm much more prepared for the training cycle. This weekend kicked off 8 quick miles back home. Love.
4. Last night, The Pilot and I decided to check out the new Dine-In Theater that opened up in our hometown. We went and saw Rock of Ages and it was surprisingly awesome. I loved the Broadway play and was worried they would screw up the movie the way they did with Rent but it was great! I officially have a girl crush on Julianne Hough. Love.

5. The Dine-In Theater? Totally awesome! It takes Dinner and a Movie to a whole new level! I was up in the air as to whether I would like it or not and I was pleasantly surprised! I loved being able to order food/drinks/whatever without having to get up in the middle of the movie. Plus, the leather chairs were super comfortable and the prices were very affordable! I think we'll definitely be frequenting the dinner theater. Love.

6. Applying to jobs sucks. Don't Love.
7. I'm headed back to DC this weekend for some more work + play. Surprised? I think I'm gone to DC every 10 days for the last 2 months. Love. Love. Love.

That's what's on tap for today! How was your weekend? Have you ever been to a Dine-In Theater? Did you race this weekend? What's the shortest margin of a PR that you've ever set?

Have a FANTASTIC week!

  1. I have a 5K on Sunday that I'm hoping to PR in--I want to get under 40 mins! That Dine-In theater looks so cool, I'm jealous...I don't think they have those here! Have a great time in DC!

  2. I`ve never been to a dine-in theatre before but they look pretty cool! Is it annoying having people ordering throughout the entire movie?

  4. CONGRATS on your PR - a PR is a PR and needs to be celebrated :)

  5. Dine in theatre? Oooh. Love.

Although the prices for movies in Australia is crazy and the prices for food in our Gold Class theatres are insane, so I don't hold out any hope for that happening here any time soon.

Hurrah claps on the PR! :)
