Love/Don't Love

I started this post about 4 times this morning before deleting it and saying "Hey Christy, no one wants to listen to you being an angry bitch on Monday morning." Don't Love.

Now, after getting through my day with the help of some deep breathing exercises, nutella hot chocolate, and a race registration, I'm feeling much better. Love.

Nutella hot chocolate...yum.
This weekend was rough. Saturday was just one of those days that didn't have enough hours in it. My mom came to spend the afternoon with me and I spent almost the whole time crying to her about everything in the world that is stressing me out right now. I don't think I realized how stressed out I was until I just let it all out to her. I felt really bad about that. Don't Love.

Sunday, I worked. From 8am to 7pm. Well technically until 5:30 but there was a car fire (scariest thing ever) in the Lincoln Tunnel that kept me from getting back to New York until super late...when I finally did get home, I made the most delicious homemade marinara sauce and poured it over some pasta only to drop it on my way to the kitchen table, shatter my plate and spill it everywhere...15 minutes before I had to go to another work-related event. When I got back, I spent the rest of the night cleaning my entire apartment from the marinara sauce that was everywhere and well, let's just say that my day continued to suck right up until my head hit the pillow. Don't Love.

Pretty much what me and my apartment looked like last night.
So yea, it was a tough weekend which never translates to a good Monday but when I got out of work this morning, I made myself some nutella hot choclolate and oh so appropriately registered for the Hot Chocolate 15k which I'll be racing in DC on December 3 with Christine, Emily and Celia. Love.

THE MARINE CORPS MARATHON IS THIS WEEKEND! Hold on a second...what?? I've spent 4 months training and Race Week finally hits and it doesn't even hit me. Don't worry, it will. I'm running a marathon this weekend and I'm going to dominate it. Love. Love. Love.

For reasons that I would rather not get into, I don't have my camera charger. I haven't had it in 4 months and have gotten away with borrowing other people's. I don't have that option this time around. If I don't get my charger back by Thursday, I'm going to hurt someone. Don't Love.

I'm getting a massage tomorrow. I think all of the stress I'm under needs to be worked out of my back, hips and neck so I'm going to get that all worked out before the race. Love.

Well, I'm off. I need to get some sleep because tomorrow I have to bake about 200 cookies. And get a massage. It's going to be great.

  3. Sorry your weekend was so rough :( And that car fire does seem terrifying.

But race registrations make me happy too! I signed up for the Hot Chocolate 15K a few weeks ago and I'm really excited for it.

My running buddy and I are going to be cheering along the MCM sidelines, can't wait!

  6. I need a massage (or ten). Boo, I really wish that I was I could come run the 15k, but I think with jet lag and exhaustion from traveling so much, I would hate myself lol. Have so much funthough. See you a week from Friday!

  8. Bless your heart, you HAVE had a rough week. And it's only Tuesday! Your massage will help, you relax pre-race. I had mine today and I was so massage-drunk after that I nearly fell down the stairs. In a good way.
    Ah, massage.
